Dengan video, blog itu menjadi semakin menarik, apalagi isi videonya berhubungan dengan artikel yang ada di blog itu. Selain menghias ternyata bisa mengoptimalkan blog. Lalu. bagaimana cara menampilkan video gratis di blog kita?

Untuk menampikan video di blog Anda tidak perlu mempunyai rekaman video sendiri. Sudah banyak situs yang menyediakan video gratis yang tinggal copy-paste ke blog kita. misalnya, You Tube.

Sebagai contoh Anda ingin menampilkan video tentang video lagu Ungu, “Kekasih Gelapku”.
Caranya:
1. Masuk ke situs You Tube
2. Pada bagian kotak Search, ketik Ungu
3. Akan tampil beberapa video klip Ungu, klik yang berjudul “Kekasih Gelapku”
4. Di sebelah kanan video, terdapat kode dan Customize terdapat kode. Klik customize, lalu bisa dipilih apakah juga imgin menampilkan related video atau tidak, kemudian bisa juga mensetting border (warna dasar). Setelah selesai klik Close
5. Copy kode yang muncul (di bawah customize) tersebut.
6. Untuk yang masih menggunakan blogger klasik, masuk ke Blogger Account Anda. Masuk ke Posting, klik edit html, paste kode tersebut.

Unlike the Simple User Interface, the scanning is performed by so-called "tasks". File system protection ensures that no virus will be started on the computer. It offers a wide range of settings, such as the possibility to specify that files will be scanned during copying, or scanning will include files with a given set of extensions only.

E-mail/News protection consists of two independent modules; first, there is a generic scanner working on the SMTP/POP3/IMAP4/NNTP protocol level. It is capable of protecting any existing e-mail client that uses these protocols. Second, there is a special plugin for MS Outlook only; with mail scanning completely transparent, requiring no special settings.

A new feature of version 4 is heuristic analysis of e-mail scanners. This feature can protect against new, unknown viruses and worms that are not possible to detect by the usual means. The heuristic module performs a thorough investigation of every e-mail message and watches for suspicious signs that might announce virus presence. When the number of those signs exceeds the user-defined level, the message is considered dangerous and the user is warned.

Script Blocker (Professional Edition only)
The resident protection of the Professional Edition includes an additional module, not contained in the Home Edition, called Script Blocker. This module watches all scripts being executed in the operating system (so-called WSH scripts - Windows Scripting Host), and scans all the scripts run as a part of a web page within your web browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator and Mozilla).

P2P and IM Shields
Avast features a module for the protection of IM (Instant Messaging, "chat") programs, and a module for the protection of P2P (peer-to-peer) programs. The list of supported IM and P2P programs is extensive, with more than 30 programs currently supported.

While chat itself would not pose any serious security risks in terms of viruses, today's IM applications are far from being just chatting tools: most support more or less sophisticated file sharing methods - which may quite easily lead to virus infections, if not properly monitored.

The P2P protection module doesn't need much explanation - today's P2P networks (such as Kazaa) contain potentially thousands of infected files, and effective protection is essential.

Network Shield
A new resident protection module was added to avast! 4.5: the Network Shield. This module provides protection against known Internet worms/attacks. It analyzes all network traffic and scans for malicious content. It can be viewed as a lightweight firewall (or, more precisely, an IDS (Intrusion Detection System)).

The Network Shield is only available on NT-based systems (Windows NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista).

Web Shield
Web Shield is a unique feature of avast! that enables it to monitor and filter all HTTP traffic coming from Web sites on the Internet. Since an increasing number of viruses (and other malware, such as adware, spyware and dialers) are being distributed via the World Wide Web, the need for effective countermeasures has also increased. Web Shield acts as a transparent HTTP proxy and is compatible with all major web browsers, including Microsoft Internet Explorer, FireFox, Mozilla and Opera.

Unlike most competitive solutions, Web Shield's impact on browsing speed is almost negligible. This is because of a unique feature called "Intelligent Stream Scan" that lets the Web Shield module scan objects on-the-fly, without the need of caching. Stream scanning is performed in operating memory only (without the necessity to flush the contents to disk), providing maximum possible throughput.

Automatic updates
Automatic updates are another key need in virus protection. Both the virus database and the program itself can be updated automatically. The updates are incremental, with only new or missing data downloaded: thus reducing the transfer heavily. The typical size of a virus database updates are tens of KB; program updates typically are in the hundreds of KB range.

If your Internet connection is persistent (such as an always-on broadband connection), then updates are performed completely automatically at fixed time intervals. If you connect to the Internet only occasionally, avast! watches your connection and tries to perform the update when you are online.

PUSH updates (Professional Edition only)
A special feature of the Professional Edition is PUSH updates. It is a dramatic change in the philosophy of updates. Usually, every installed program checks occasionally for new version availability. PUSH updates, however, are initialized by our server; they result in your computer quickly responding and performing the necessary update. The system is based on the SMTP protocol (as used for e-mail messages). The update itself is controlled by the avast! resident e-mail providers (MS Outlook and Internet Mail).

The whole system is protected by asymmetric ciphers and is resistant to unauthorized misuse.

Virus Chest
The Virus Chest can be thought of as a folder on your disk drive, having special properties that make it a safe, isolated place suitable for storing certain files. You can work with the files in the Chest, though with some security restrictions.

The main properties of the Virus Chest are complete isolation from the rest of the operating system. No outside process, such as a virus, may access the files inside, and the fact that the files inside the Chest may not be run (executable), there is no danger in storing viruses there.

System integration
avast! antivirus features outstanding integration into your system. A scan can be started directly from Windows Explorer, by clicking a folder or a file with your right mouse button and selecting the corresponding choice from the menu.

A special screen-saver is also provided, that, when running, performs virus scanning. avast! antivirus works together with your favorite screen-saver, so you don't have to change your personal settings to use it.

A new option in this release is the boot-time scan (Windows NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista only). This important feature allows a user to instigate scanning before a virus is activated, in the case that a virus is suspected to be active on your computer already.

Command-line scanner (Professional Edition only)
For experienced users, the Professional Edition features a command-line scanner. Scanning can be controlled by many arguments and switches; to use as a pipe filter; and a special STDIN/STDOUT mode is available.

The module is intended to be used in BATCH programs. Its output is the same as the output from the Enhanced User Interface tasks (including the report files).

Kendaraan tercepat zaman dahulu hanyalah kuda, sehingga pergerakan manusia tidaklah tinggi. Bayangkan jika mereka melakukan perjalanan dengan kendaraan yang cepat, berapa banyak monumen yang harus didirikan agar mereka dapat menemukan jalan kembali. Waktu itu, manusia juga menjadikan gugusan bintang di langit sebagai penunjuk arah. Sekarang dengan bantuan GPS, cukup membuka layar ponsel dan kemana arah pulang.

Ketika mendengar istilah GPS (Global Positioning System), kebanyakan kita mengasosiasikan dengan GPS receiver, perangkat untuk menerima, membaca, dan menampilkan informasi yang diterima oleh gugusan 27 satelit milik Departemen Perthanan AS yang mengorbit di angkasa bumi. Dari ke 27 satelit ini, hanya 24 yang benar-benar beroperasi, sementara 3 lainnya merupakan cadangan jika terdapat kerusakan pada salah satu satelit yang beroperasi.

Perangkat GPS receiver sendiri bukanlah barang baru. Tetapi pengintegrasiannya ke dalam ponsel dan PDA baru dapat kita temukan beberapa tahun belakangan. Di AS, jika pengguna ponsel yang memiliki fitur GPS receiver menekan nomor darurat (911), informasi lokasi dimana ponsel tersebut berada ikut terkirim.

Dengan demikian tim penyelamat, baik paramedis, pemadam kebakaran, polisi, SAR, dan lain-lainnya, dapat segera mengirim bala bantuan ke tempat pengguna ponsel, Bukan hanya untuk kepentingan darurat, saat ini GPS receiver yang tertanam pada ponsel juga memudahkan para pengusaha ekspedisi dan angkutan untuk memantau pergerakan barang dan kendaraan mereka.

Cara Kerja GPS
Ke-24 satelit yang dikelola oleh 50th Space Wing, Angkatan Udara AS ini menorbit di ketinggian 19.300 km. Masing-masing satelit melakukan dua kali rotasi sempurna dalam sehari. Gugusan satelit dan orbitnya dirancang agar disetiap permukaan bumi, paling tidak dapat "melihat" 4 satelit dalam satu waktu.

GPS receiver yang ada di bumi bertugas menghitung informasi yang diberikan keempat satelit, untuk menentukan lokasi menggunakan perhitungan matematika triliterasi yang sederhana. GPS sendiri menggunakan 3D Trileterasi, karena posisi satelit yang ada di angkasa (bukan di darat). Namun, untuk memudahkan pemahaman bagaimana GPS bekerja, kita akan mengambil contoh bagaimana pehitungan 2D Trileterasi.

Anggaplah anda sedang tersesat di suatu tempat di Pulau Jawa. Kita bertanya kepada beberapa orang, di sana tentang di mana lokasi anda sekarang. Orang pertama menjawab bahwa anda berada 50 km dari kota Jakarta. Sudah jelaskan posisi anda sekarang? Belum, sebab 50 km dari kota Jakarta itu meliputi Tangerang, Bekasi, Karawang, Depok, dan Bogor.

Kemudian orang kedua memberitahukan bahwa anda berada pada 40 km dari serang. Kini lokasi anda sudah semakin jelas. Tetapi 50 km dari Jakarta dan 40 km dari serang merupakan wailayah yang cukup luas. Anda membutuhkan informasi dari pihak ketiga untuk mendapatkan definisi akurat lokasi anda sekarang.

Orang ketiga mengatakan bahwa anda berada 25 km dari Bogor. Informasi dari orang ketiga menunjukan posisi yang pasti dimana anda sekarang. Lokasi tepat di mana anda berada sekarang dapat di peroleh dengan cara menggambar 3 lingkaran yang masing-masing 50 km dari Jakarta, 40 km dari Serang, dan 25 km dari Bogor. Irisan dari ketiga lingkaran tersebut berada, misalnya, di kota Tangerang, yang sekaligus posisi tepat di mana sekarang anda berada.

Walau lebih rumit, 3D Trileterasi yang digunakan GPS tidak jauh berbeda dengan 2d Trileterasi di atas. Hanya saja bukan garis lingkaran yang anda peroleh dari satelit, melainkan sebuah bidang lingkaran (sphere). Misalnya, 50 km dari satelit A, merupakan wilayah yang luas (wilayah dengan garis tengah 50 km). Demikian pula informasi 5 km dari satelit B, masih merupakan wilayah luas. Informasi penentu datang dari satelit C, yang memperkecil luas wilayah irisan antara sphere dari satelit A dan B.

Bagaimana jika ruang irisan anatara informasi dari Satelit A, B, dan C masih sangat luas? Untuk mengetahui lokasi yang paling "mendekati" benar, dibutuhkan 2 informasi lain, yakni lokasi paling tidak tiga satelit di atas anda, dan jarak anda dengan ketiga satelit. Dengan cara ini, toleransi akurasi yang didapatkan bisa mencapai 3 sampai 9 meter dari lokasi sebenarnya.

Differential GPS
Cara yang paling popular untuk meningkatkan akurasi perhitungan dari satelit GPS adalah dengan membangun stasiun bumi penerima GPS, yang dikenal dengan nama Differential GPS (DGPS). Stasiun bumi ini dibutuhkan sebagai nilai tetap sebuah titik di permukaan bumi. Stasiun bumi ini akan menghitung kesalahan informasi yang dikirimkan oleh satelit GPS, kemudian mengirimkan koreksinya kepada DGPS receiver, sehingga hasil yang akan diperoleh akan lebih akurat hingga 1 meter dari lokasi sesungguhnya.

Beberapa negara telah membangun stasiun bumi ini, misalnya USCG DGPS (United States Coast Guard DGPS) dan WAAS (Wide Area Augmentation System) di AS, CDGPS (Canada-Wide DGPS) di Canada, dan AMSA DGPS (Australian Maritime Safety Authority DGPS) di Australia. Semakin dekat DGPS receiver dengan stasiun bumi, semakin akurat sebuah perhitungan lokasi yang didapatkan.

Kita pasti tidak asing lagi dengan nama BitTorent. Kita mungkin bertanya, apa perbedaan men-download file menggunakan protokol BitTorent dengan cara lain, seperti menggunakan jalur HTTP dan FTPbiasa plus download accelarator, atau menggunakan aplikasi berbagai file P2P biasa?

Jawaban sederhananya adalah BitTorent menggabungkan fungsionalitas download accelerator dan P2P, bahkan lebih dari itu. BitTorent memungkinkan kita men-download bagian file yang sama. Demikian pula sebaliknya, disaat kita tengah mendownload bagian-bagian file dari beberapa peer, mereka juga men-download-nya dari kita. Menarik bukan?

Cara Kerja BitTorent
Bayangkan kita akan mendownload file film memalui BitTorent. Langkah pertama yang harus kita lakukan adalah menginstal aplikasi BitTorent di PC kita, misalnya BitComment, BitTorrent, Azureus, dan lain-lain.

Setelah aplikasi BitTorrent terinstal, terlabih dahulu kita harus mendownload file .torrent yang berisi informasi tentang sebuah file yang akan di-downloadnya; apa namanya? berapa ukurannya; PC mana saja yang menyediakannya (yang dikenal dengan nama seed), dan lain-lain. Selanjutnya, kita tinggal memasukan file .torrent kedalam aplikasi BitTorent dan mengeksekusianya.

Apakah aplikasi BitTorent yang berjalan di Windows XP dengan aplikasi BitTorrent yang berjalan di operating system lainnya? Jawabannya iya. Semua aplikasi BitTorent berjalan pada operating system manapun, dapat membaca file .torrent dan saling berbagi file antar mereka.

Aplikasi BitTorrent akan berkomunikasi dengan sebuah server pusat yang akan mencatataktivitas download kita, yang dikenal dengan nama tracker. Server ini mengantarkan aplikasi BitTorrent di PC kita kepada sekelompok seed dan peer yang sedang melakukan aktivitas pertukaran file film. Begitu kita ikut men-download file film dari beberapa seed dan peer, kita otomatis menjadi bagian dari kelompok ini (yang dikenal dengan nama swarm), sekaligus menjadi peer yang dapat berbagi file dengan peer lain.

Pertanyaan yang sering diajukan adalah, apakah mendownload melalui BitTorrent lebih cepat ketimbang menggunakan aplikasi doenload accelerator atau P2P biasa? Jawabanya bisa iya dan juga bisa tidak. Semakin banyak seed dan peer dalam sebuah warm, proses download dengan BitTorrent akan semakin cepat. Disinilah perbedaannya dengan proses download menggunakan download accelerator dan P2P biasa, yakni semakin banyak peer yang mendownload file dari sumber yang sama membuat proses download semakin lambat.

Jangan Pelit di Bittorrent
Masih terdapat beberapa istilah khusus BitTorent yang harus kita perhatikan.

Leech adalah sebutan untuk orang yang telah selesai mendownload sebuah file file melalui BitTorrent, namun ia tidak bersedia berbagi dengan orang lain, padahal ia sudah dapat berperan sebagai seed. Tidak jarang setelah selesai mendownload sebuah file, dengan berbagai alasan seseorang lantas mematikan aplikasi BitTorrent sehingga orang lain tidak dapat mendownload file tersebut dari PC-nya.

Padahal, cukup dengan tetap menyalakan aplikasi BitTorrent, seseorang yang telah selesai mendownload sebuah langsung dapat langsung menjadi seed. Tindakan lari dari kewajiban moral menjadi seed ini dikenal dengan istilah hit-and-run. Lagi-lagi di sinilah kelebihan BitTorent: tracker mencatat berapa besar file yang telah selesai di download oleh sebuah PC, dan berapa besar file yang telah diandilkan dalam sebuah swarm baik sebagai seed atau peer.

Perbandingan ini dikenal dengan istilah ratio. Semakin besar nilai ratio yang juga tercatat pada aplikasi BitTorent (1.0 adalah nilai standar, yang berarti nilai download sama dengan upload), semakin terpuji di mata tracker. Demikian pula sebalikny, semakin kecil ratio download dan upload, semakin tercela perilaku seseorang yang dapat memasukannya ke dlam kategori leech.

Paka hukuman yang akan diberikan kepada leech? Ekstremnya, jika terdapat laporan dari seed atau peer lain yang membaca track record ratio yang buruk, tracker dapat mem-ban seseorang dari swarm. Sebaliknya, jika sebuah aplikasi Bi Torrent memiliki ratio yang lebih baik kecepatan downloadnyaakan semakin baik karena seed dan peer lain dengan ratio yang lebih rendah.

Jadi, jika kecepatan download menggunakan BiTorrent kita dirasakan biasa-biasa saja atau cenderung lambat, periksalah ratio yang ada di palikasi BitTorrent. Jangan-jangan kita termasuk ke dalam kategori leech yang enggan berbagai dengan pengguna lain. Kesimpulannya JANGAN PELIT di BitTorrent.
